As some of you may have already heard, we are currently working on taking Pageflow to the next level. Our goal: Providing you with new storytelling tools that will enable you to impress your audience with digital content in the years to come.
After all, expectations for the usability of web stories have risen significantly since the launch of our storytelling software at re:publica 14 festival.
And even though Pageflow can still keep up in terms of a contemporary look when used thoughtfully, it’s now time to move forward.
There already has been a lot of interest in the closed beta which we announced on Twitter and in our dashboard. This makes us very happy. This feedback gives us valuable insights that are enormously helpful for further development and fine-tuning for the official release. Many thanks for that!
The first responses shows that Pageflow Next makes multimedia storytelling even easier and will probably also inspire your readers, viewers and listeners.
And so, after this early phase of testing, we would now like to give you a first insight here on the blog, as well: Into the new way of telling stories with Pageflow.
The new story generation can be described quite well in four simple words:
And that’s exactly the path we want to take with Pageflow: More flexible design options and more ease of scrolling.
Because Pageflow is intended to continue meeting the demands of the times and making cloud-based storytelling as intuitive and effective as possible.
Pageflow Next includes lots of features that make your web stories look more modern and versatile, easily letting you combine cross-media content. Display on smartphones has also significantly improved. Responsible for this are
and
an intelligent motif area selection that guarantees that text only overlays a motif when it is desired. In combination with dynamic shadow effects, your motifs take center stage while still ensuring perfect readability of text:
Pageflow Next has already been used in prototypes at German broadcasters WDR and MDR. the range of possible applications that are emerging is striking: For example, WDR published “Land unter – Wie Unwetter und Hochwasser NRW verwüstet haben” (Land under – How storms and floods devastated North Rhine-Westphalia).
The report on the flood disaster works exclusively with before-and-after images. On Hosted Pageflow, the first stories are also about to be published. Here, too, Pageflow Next leads to a more varied look than ever before.
If you want to start using the new features before the official release, apply here.
We look forward to showcasing the new capabilities here on the blog in the coming weeks and are eager to hear your feedback.
Note: Pageflow Next has officially been launched on July 7th, 2022
